- A few of these pieces are either unavailable on commercial recordings or are difficult to obtain.
- I feel that there is a certain level of excitement and energy found in live recordings that can sometimes be lacking in professionally edited studio recordings
- Students should have the opportunity to hear an artist living through the music phrase by phrase, recovering and playing through the minor errors without letting them destroy the mood or excitement of the performance.
